Nano Lopez Artist Biography

View Art

Nano begins a sculpture by conceptualizing with a sketch.

He then creates a small working model in clay.

Next, the piece is sculpted actual size.

In his artistic process, Nano integrates organic textures and human-made objects into his bronzes to create pieces of art that reflect the same depth and richness he sees in the world around him.

The sculpture’s unique elements become part of the final piece in several ways. They may be embedded, applied to the surface, or indented in the clay.

The bronze sculpture is created by the Lost Wax Process.

The unique and time consuming patinas are applied to emphasize the surface details, patterns and textures Nano has created.
